Episode Review

Strawberry is busy working on a poem for the upcoming event at the Cafe when she asks both Custard and Pupcake for advice. She goes over the poem and what she has so far when Mr. Longface comes in to tell her what he thinks about it. She decides to ask him for advice before mentioning she only needs a couple more words and then she will be done, but suddenly she gets a call from Raspberry and takes off.

Upon arrival, Raspberry has just finished taking measurements and shows Strawberry the sketches she made for her dress.

However, Strawberry wants it to be a surprise so she asks not to see it just yet. Raspberry agrees, though remains uncertain while Strawberry voices assurance and leaves.

At the Cafe she overhears her poem being spoken while her pets are busy playing with a paper ball. She asks why Mr. Longface is changing everything and he claims to be improving it when Strawberry recalls having never seen a shooting star before. Mr. Longface suggests that she would get more inspiration if she goes to see one for herself, leading Strawberry to decide she'll do just that and she packs to go camping for the night. While she packs, Plum comes over to see her for a moment and offers her some energy bars and takes off.

On the way home, she notices Raspberry is still awake so she decides to pay her a visit. Plum is greeted by a very frazzled Raspberry, who tries explaining that she's having a lot of trouble and is worried she won't finish in time. Plum offers to help but Raspberry refuses twice, so when she isn't looking, Plum hides after stealing a few random pieces of clothing and accessories. She then comes out a couple of minutes later pretending to be a French fashion model to cheer her up, until Raspberry recalls she's only wasting time and tries to get back to work. Plum insists that Raspberry rest for now and offers to close her shop for her and hesitantly Raspberry agrees.

As Plum begins to put the items away she is suddenly inspired.

Meanwhile, Strawberry is becoming very sleepy. She tries to force herself awake, but in this attempt she accidentally misses a shooting star.

Later that evening, Plum has gathered the other girls and Blueberry compares the situation to the story of the shoemaker who had little elves helping him so that he could sleep and still finish his work on time. This inspires the berry girls to do the same thing, to help Raspberry out.

Strawberry meanwhile has once again accidentally fallen asleep.

A while later, the girls sneak into Raspberry's and go around taking the items they'll need for their plans, like designs, fabric, sewing materials, stitching, and other random odds and ends.

Eventually seeing that a storm is growing, Strawberry worries that she may not be able to see anything anymore. But she doesn't plan on giving up, knowing that this will be rewarding in the end, if she can last until then.

Very early the next morning, the girls run outside when they realize Raspberry is waking up. She comes down the stairs and into her shop and is greeted by the others, who act like they just came in. She is surprised by the dress, while they act like they have never seen it before. Raspberry admits she didn't make it, nor does she know where it could have come from and Plum realizes they never bothered to think about this yet. Raspberry asks about it, but Lemon suddenly claims it to be Fashion Elves.

The girls also point out that because while it is technically her design, someone else just happened to make it. Raspberry doesn't feel as though this is the case, but she thinks she can make an even more special dress now that she's gotten a good night's sleep. When inspiration hits, Raspberry begins to resume her designing.

Later on during dance lessons, Plum and the others are noticeably very tired and a bit grumpy. Plum puts blame onto Lemon for her "elves" excuse and claims that they should have just been truthful. Since everyone is sleepy, dance class ends earlier then usual and Lemon falls asleep.

As evening comes, Strawberry returns to the campsite with a tent so if it drizzles they won't get wet, but the tent's zipper gets stuck, trapping her inside and causing her to miss a whole shower of shooting stars.

Later on the berry girls are in the middle of a snack when Lemon begins to worry they're not going to finish the next dress in time. Therefore, Plum suggests that instead of focusing of just one outfit at a time, they could each try to work on separate parts instead and then put it together.

The following morning Raspberry sees a very weird dress, which she is less then happy with, despite the fact the others all like it. Since it's nothing like her true design and a bunch of different designs jumbled into one, Raspberry decides she's going to leave the Fashion elves a note to ask them to try a bit harder with the next dress and to concentrate on one single design to see what happens.

Finally, Plum has had enough and the following morning she explains the entire situation to Strawberry, adding that she wants to tell Raspberry the truth but worries that the others will think that she's just putting down their ideas. Strawberry asks Plum to come to the Cafe around 5:00 pm, then proceeds to tell the other berry girls the same. When everyone other then Raspberry shows up, Strawberry brings out smoothies to get them to stay and explains that she chose to have all of them meet up instead of separately because she felt uncomfortable with secret meetings.

Just as she's about to tell them what to do to solve the problem, Mr. Longface comes over and interrupts in order to show her the newest additions to "her" poem. This makes Strawberry realize her own, true problem and she decides that she has to be honest and confesses to him how she feels about his editing her poem. That inspires the other girls to realize they need to do the same. But not wanting to disappoint Raspberry however, they agree to work on one final single design together.

That following morning they pretend to leave, then come back in as Raspberry comes down the steps and mentioned how she got used to oversleeping because of the elves before noticing the very pretty dress. However, Lemon notices that Raspberry doesn't seem happy and she explains that she can't take credit for the dress since she didn't make it. Considering she has one more day however, she decides to ask the elves to let her make the final dress on her own instead, which leads Plum to confess that they made up the story about the fashion elves, which makes Raspberry happy and she thanks them for their honesty when Plum suddenly gets an idea that will let them help in another way, but let her still make the outfit.

Meanwhile, Strawberry admits the truth to Mr. Longface and he apologizes for taking over her poem. But while he feels bad, he's become happier now because this experience has re-awakened his love of poetry.

Later on, Raspberry finishes her special outfit and shows it to Strawberry, who is very happy and thanks Raspberry for her hard work.

Eventually evening arrives and Strawberry has changed into the pretty outfit and reads her poem to everyone inside of the Cafe.

After seeing how tired Raspberry is, Plum convinces the others to secretly do her work for her in a misguided attempt to lend a hand. However, in so doing, they lie to her by making up a ridiculous story about "fashion elves" and eventually get too involved to the point they tire themselves out and eventually have to confess. She accepts this and with the rest and a little more help, is able to finish in time.

Meanwhile, Strawberry tries to see a shooting star to make her poem more truthful to her feelings. But in the process she accidentally causes Mr. Longface to obsess over her poem and he tries to take over. Eventually, Strawberry tells Mr. Longface that she wants to write her own poem and he accepts this ungrudgingly, telling her that it reawakened his love of poetry.
